Centre for Research in the Built Environment

Part of the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University

For over 20 years, CRiBE has pioneered research and established an international reputation in the fields of environmental design, energy efficiency of buildings and urban sustainable development. The Centre comprises an established, multi-disciplinary group of environmental design specialists including architects, engineers, physicists, planners and social and environmental scientists. This brings a uniquely holistic inter-disciplinary approach to effective and sustainable design, construction and operation of the built environment.

Environmental Staff

Angela Langley. Angela has 20 years experience with Environmental Management within the built environment, including 7 years research into the effect that lease agreements have on resource efficiency in the commercial sector.

Lara Hopkinson. Lara has 11 years research experience with Environmental Management and related issues within small to medium sized enterprises working with a variety of industry sectors, including manufacturing and commercial.

Vicki Stevenson. Vicki has 5 years research experience in renewable energy and energy efficiency, now being applied to the commercial sector.
